Moreover, it also displays symptoms including fatigue, headaches, pains, gastrointestinal problems, coughs, and other problems associated with weak immune system.

These chronic and acute illnesses can be alleviated through cleansing or detoxification program. This process naturally eliminates the harmful toxins from the body. It can either be a short-term or a long-term procedure. Those people who are addicted to some substances are well benefited by this program. They can temporarily avoid addictive agents and later on withdraw from their abusive habits.

Take note that toxicity can occur on two major levels. It can either be internal or external. External toxicity is acquired from the environment through breathing, ingesting or physical contacts.  It also includes the chemical characteristics of foods which affects the health. Most food additives, drugs, and allergens create the body’s toxic elements. In fact, substances such as sodium, many nutrients, and even water have toxicity in particular circumstances.

On the other hand, internal toxins are internally produced by the body from its daily normal functions. Cellular, bodily, and biochemical activities are producing substances that should be eliminated. These free radicals known as biochemical toxins can cause inflammation or irritation of the tissues and cells which blocks the normal functioning of an organ, cells, or entire body level. All kinds of microbes, foreign bacteria, intestinal bacteria, parasites, and yeasts produce waste products that are metabolic. Emotions, thoughts, and stress also increase biochemical toxins.

Almost everybody needs to detoxify their bodies so that it can function well. Detox or cleansing is a trilogy portion of the nutritional action. Eating balance diets and avoiding excesses will need lesser intensive detoxification. Although the body has its elimination cycle carried out mostly at night and early morning, eating a congested diet with higher fats, refined foods, dairy products, and even intake of drugs can procure lots of body toxins. That is why body detox is needed because some individuals are having this kind of lifestyle.  

Fasting is a detox therapy that is sometimes incorporated. It is considered as the oldest and complete natural treatment for humans. Detox processes can help clear dead cells, wastes, and revitalize the natural functions as well as the healing capacities of the body. Well, many people are claiming that cleansing programs have incredible and positive results on their body.

The proper way of eliminating these toxins is very important to the health of a person. Although the body can handle certain amount of toxins, it is always necessary to think of reduction or elimination in case of excess toxin production and food intake occurs. Of course, in the end you will be benefited with a well-working and stronger immune system to prevent diseases from attacking you. In this way, you will live a much better life.


Organic Gardening


Organic gardening is the way of growing vegetables and fruits with the use of things only found in nature.

Why would one want to indulge in organic gardening?

1.One can easily make compost from garden and kitchen waste. Though this is a bit more time-consuming than buying prepared chemical pesticides and fertilizers, it certainly helps to put garbage to good use and so saves the environment.

2. Organic farming does not use chemicals that may have an adverse affect on your health. This is especially important when growing vegetables. Chemical companies tell us that the chemicals we use are safe if used according to direction, but research shows that even tiny amounts of poisons absorbed through the skin can cause such things as cancer, especially in children.

On the average, a child ingests four to five times more cancer-causing pesticides from foods than an adult. This can lead to various diseases later on in the child's life. With organic gardening, these incidents are lessened.

Remember, pesticides contain toxins that have only one purpose - to kill living things.

3. Less harm to the environment. Poisons are often washed into our waterways, causing death to the native fish and polluting their habitat.

4.Organic farming practices help prevent the loss of topsoil through erosion.
The Soil Conservation Service says that an estimated 30 - 32 billion tons of soil erodes from United States farmlands every year.

4. Cost savings. One does not need to buy costly chemical fertilizers and pesticides with organic gardening. Many organic recipes for the control of pest and disease come straight from the kitchen cupboard. Sometimes other plants can be grown as companions to the main crop. An example of this is the marigold, which helps to repel aphids from vegetables.
 
Mixing 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap and 1 cup of cooking oil can make a cheap garden pest spray. Put 3 tablespoons of this mixture in 1 quart of water and spray on plants.

5.A simple mulch of pine needles will help to suppress the growth of weeds as well as keeping the moisture in.

6. Organic gardening practices help to keep the environment safe for future generations.





Boost Memory and Concentration

Let’s imagine for a moment that you are sitting by a quiet stream in the countryside. You take in the bright sunshine and the fresh air. All of a sudden, right in front of you, a big fish jumps out of the water and splashes down. It swims away furiously as droplets of water run down your face. You hear the wind as it howls through the trees, the rustling leaves, perhaps a gurgling stream as it brushes against the rocks. The wind gently carries the smell of freshly cut grass. As you walk along the bank, you savour the fresh delight of some of the juicy, sweet berries that you have just picked. You taste the tangy juice as it drips down your throat.

Whether we are walking in a quiet country road or in a busy shopping mall, whether it is during the workday or while we are on a holiday, we take it for granted that we know what our surrounding is like. Our senses connect us to the world around us. Our senses help us perceive things that can bring to us a whole range of feelings, from intense happiness to sadness. But sometimes the information from our senses can be misleading, or we are too overloaded to interpret it. However, did you know that only a fraction of the information, or sensory stimuli, received by our sensory organs (eyes, nose, ears, skin, mouth) enters our consciousness? In fact, our brains have several filters that prevent us from being overwhelmed by the constant bombardment of new stimuli. By filtering out new information, we can concentrate our attention on the things that are important and thus keep the world in perspective.

Have you ever had the frustrating experience that your expensive state-of-the-art digital camera will not focus on the person in the tiny screen but on some unimportant object in the background? Fortunately, this cannot happen to us, for our brains are far more intelligent than the microchips and computers that run our camera. The brain automatically separates important things from what is secondary or irrelevant. In effect, our brain knows that you are more interested in taking a photo of your grandmother, uncle, aunt or child standing in front of the tree rather than the tree itself.

Likewise, an “aware” state of mind helps you to focus on what is important and what is “background noise”. For example, how many times have you ignored what a spouse or a family member is saying because you were too focused on something on television. How many times have you walked into a room and not know why you entered the room? Or how many times have you gone to the store and returned home and forgot a grocery item that was running out? Sometimes our filtering mechanism fail us but we can overcome this by practicing “mindful awareness” of what is important. We can train our minds to focus on the task at hand.

Here are some tips to improve your memory and train your brain. So the next time you need to go into a room to get a pen, think of a large spot of ink on your favorite shirt pocket.

The next time someone interrupts you while you are giving a presentation, make a mental picture of where you stopped. If you run out of milk and need to run to the store, imagine a cow with a apron telling you to get the milk, instead of coming home with a pack of frozen pizzas that was discounted. Remember, it’s all about ‘mindfulness’. Try it!





Healthy Aging and The Brain


Growing older and learning from your mistakes is a clear sign that our brain is improving. The brain will improve as we learn. In return, it helps us to live a better life. We live longer and learn new skills that help us to develop a healthier way of living.

Our brain has learned a lot from our younger days. All those skills you accomplished made the brain stay healthy. Remember practice makes perfect and as we grow older the more practice we get. The more we learn the quality of talking grows and improves even more. We need to learn how to manage stress too because stress will damage the circuit in your brain.

As you grow you, become wiser. The challenges and opportunities along with making decision were all improving the brain. Be positive on life and ready for new challenges. 

The brain works by increasing knowledge and it builds the connecting elements in the bran that make us function well. You’re never too old to learn something new.

As you grow older, keep your connection with your family and friends. The more we stay in contact with our family and friends we are keeping our mental sharpness working. You can learn from them and it will help to maintain your mental sharpness each day that goes by.

Your diet is very important to keep the brain healthy, as we grow older. Eat as many colorful fruits and leafy vegetables as you can. Vegetables are known to help your brain to perform and become better. If vegetables can help prevent cancer, it has to be good for the brain as well.

Fruits and vegetable are full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals along with being low in fat and calories.  Antioxidants have proven to benefit us, since it contains Vitamins known to reduce dying or damaged cells. Eat those blueberries the color is known to improve short-term memory.

Very few doctors disapprove of taking multivitamins and herb supplements.  As we get older, our diets change by eating less just is careful and make sure that your dosage isn’t going to react to your medications.  Vitamins are good to take to replace what you don’t get in your diet but first consult with you physician to make sure your taking what you need.

Stress busters:
Stress can take over our lives making it harmful to your bodies and brain as well. There isn’t any way a person can relieve all stress but we can decide what can be eliminated and concentrate on what you can do to relieve the rest by bring pleasure to yourself.  It is very important that you don’t let stress take over your life. Stress causes depression easier as we grow older.


The brain releases stress hormones to help use manage some stress but if to many hormones are released it can damage the nerve cells. Depression can set in if the hormones are released too much and fast. 

Relieve those stressful elements that cause you misery:
Relieving stress isn’t easy for anyone. You have to forget about the things you have no control over and fix the ones you do. Try taking a walk or do somekind of activity to relax that brain not stress it. Putting some fun into your life and make yourself happy again. 

Sometimes it takes awhile to make changes in your life, as we grow older to fit your health and needs. Changes are hard to do and it sometimes becomes a challenge but in the end, it will relieve stress and improve the brain by giving it a new learning experience.
